Atlanta, Georgia — 2002 — Rare Medium Atlanta, a leading digital services company, today announced the launch of a new rich, user-centric web site crafted for The Ritz-Carlton Hotel Company. The new site, rich in imagery and lush in detail germain to The Ritz-Carlton experience, allows users to conduct transactions ranging from property location searches to more complex commerce booking functions.

With an updated look, improved content and more ease of navigation, The Ritz-Carlton Hotel Company's new and improved Web site (www.ritzcarlton.com) will be launched May 1, giving the luxury armchair traveler or meeting planner more flexibility and accessibility to information.

The Web site has been updated based on customer feedback. "Whether it's our guests who are physically in the hotel, or those paying a virtual visit on-line, our policy is to create the experience the luxury traveler is seeking," said Daniel P. Collins, vice president, marketing. "With our new site, we are able to offer visitors a more user-friendly experience."

Research indicated the luxury customer is looking for sites that have more information, are easy to navigate and, if required, offer an easy reservations booking process. The new www.ritzcarlton.com site offers a variety of options making the site more powerful and useful.

Visitors will first notice the improved content and visuals, with more specific information on hotels and for services frequently requested such as golf, spa and dining. Planning for special events like weddings and honeymoons is also enhanced with more information ranging from bridal showers to receptions to choosing linens and china with easy-to-find buttons. More dining information is available including menus and information about the various hotel restaurants.

Guests making reservations on-line will find it much easier to book packages. All packages offered by the selected hotel will be shown, including the availability. And once a guest has booked a stay at The Ritz-Carlton, finding the hotel is easier with on-line maps and driving directions from local airports and the nearby vicinity.

Meeting planners will appreciate more complete information on the site, which will enhance their on-line capabilities. Special pages for them include floor plans, capacity charts and requests for proposals, which can be completed on-line and submitted directly to the hotel's sales department.

For the first time, internet shoppers will be able to purchase items from The Ritz-Carlton Gift Catalogue, including logo merchandise, specialty items and gift certificates.
